Friendly Steps Achievements

Steam lists 25 achievements for Friendly Steps. The live store widget highlights a handful of icons and names; the rest sit behind the community stats page. This wiki will not invent unlock text, hidden descriptions, or percentage-complete spreadsheets that the studio has not published. What follows is the documented set plus how trophy hunting actually collides with a physics rope.

If you came here from a search for “Friendly Steps achievements,” start with the Getting Started walk and the co-op guide. Most of these names read like jokes until you try to keep four drunk bodies vertical long enough to trigger them.

Documented names (store and API highlights)

Names pulled from the Steam store highlights and the public achievement strip around launch. Icons exist; full unlock sentences were not all visible without a played account. Treat this as a name list, not a walkthrough of secret flags.

• Baby steps — the joke is also the tutorial. Tiny taps, not heroic strides. See How to walk.
• Drinking marathon — beer is a difficulty slider. The items guide is the warning label, not a chug route.
• Beersaur — another drink-themed name on the store strip. Do not assume it is a secret class.
• Mushroom Eater — store icon and name. No public recipe. If a playtest mushroom gag survived into launch, it is world interaction, not an RPG stat.
• Not a word about the mushroom — a second mushroom-titled trophy on the same strip. Two names, still no invented quest steps.
• Heartbreaker — listed, unlock unpublished here.
• Traveler — listed. Pair it mentally with the locations guide, not with a fake fast-travel tree.
• Miner — listed. If it points at a hole, a cave, or Construction dirt, prove it in-game before you write a wiki comment that sounds like a leak.
• Law abiding citizen — listed. City streets in press art include a cop. Steering around NPCs is still the co-op advice.
• Sanity — highlighted on the store. The walk will test it whether or not you click the trophy.
• It looks like it’s starting to rain — store strip name. Weather is a physics modifier if it exists in your build; it is not a reason to sprint.
• Homeless — store strip name. The pitch is still “walk home.” Do not invent an alternate ending from a trophy title.

That is twelve named trophies from public Steam chrome. The other thirteen of the 25 were not printed in the same highlight row. Some are likely hidden. This page will grow names when they are visible on the public stats board, not when a Discord screenshot looks cool.

How to hunt without wiping the rope

Achievements in a physics party are social. If one player is hunting Drinking marathon while the rest are trying to finish a night, you have two different games on one rope. Say the goal out loud.

Practical rules:

1. Learn the walk first. Baby steps is both a trophy name and the only reliable movement. A completionist who still mashes Space will farm loading screens, not icons.
2. Split trophy nights from route nights. Construction cranes and Tornado do not care that you need one more drink-themed badge. Read Construction and Tornado before you mix S-tier ground with a chug list.
3. Solo is a valid hunting mode. Steam lists single-player. Some names will be easier without three friends yanking the camera. The punchline of the game is still co-op; the speedrun guide already notes that solo times and four-stack times are different sports.
4. Do not drink for a title unless the lobby voted. Beer makes plants miss. A wipe costs more than an unearned icon.
5. Cloud and leaderboards are separate. Steam Cloud and Steam Leaderboards are store features. An achievement pop is not a leaderboard submit. Keep them straight when you brag in Discord.

What we will not publish

• Fake percentages.
• Invented hidden-achievement descriptions.
• A numbered 1–25 table with guessed triggers.
• “Missable” flags that assume a campaign structure the studio has not documented.
• Cheat scripts. This is a Steam physics game. Hands only.

If a patch adds a 26th trophy or Workshop hats with their own icons, that note belongs in launch notes first, then here.

Closet, emotes, and trophies

Costumes do not grant achievements in any documented way. Wearing the cop skin will not auto-complete Law abiding citizen. Emoting on a crane will not auto-complete Sanity — it will auto-complete a fall. See skins and emotes.

The players hub is still the social loadout: who leads, who pulls, who hosts. Achievements are a Steam overlay layer on top of that. Host on a stable PC from the system requirements page if you care about pops actually saving.

A sane first trophy night

• City sidewalks only.
• Two players, or solo.
• No bottles until a checkpoint bench.
• Pull bound and tested from the controls page.
• Stop when the rope is angry. Icons will still be there tomorrow; friendships might not.

When a public stats page prints the remaining names, this article will add them as names, still without fan-fiction unlocks. Until then, the honest completionist route is the boring one: tiny steps, a named lead, and the walkthrough until walking is no longer the boss.

If your friends opened this page to speedrun the overlay, send them the tier list next so they do not pick Tornado as the “quick” farm. The 25-trophy counter is a Steam feature. The rope is the real achievement list.
